Obituary

Paul Schlapper, 83, Wichita, died Thursday, May 15, 1997 at the Homestead Assisted Living Residence in Wichita. He was born February 22, 1914 in Clinton, Missouri, the son of J. S. and Ruby Paul Schlapper. A resident of Wichita for the past 47 years, he was a retired sewing machine salesman. He was a member of Eagles Lodge in Newton.

On October 15, 1936, he married LaDean F. Bixler in Marion. She died October 20. 1991. Survivors: son, Jimmy W. Schlapper, Kansas City, Missoouri; daughter, Shirley P. Warner, Sikeston, Missouti; one grandchild and one great grandchild.

Graveside service was May 17 in Halstead Cemetery with the Rev. DeeDee Evans presiding.
