Obituary

Gladys M. Schmidt, 94, Halstead, died Friday, October 31, 1997 at Moundridge Manor, Moundridge, Kansas. She was born June 2, 1903 at Halstead, the daughter of William Thomas and Mabel Ingersoll Houser. A Halstead resident since 1984, she was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church, Beaumont, Texas.

On March 30, 1935, she married Tom H. Schmidt at Borger, Texas. He died January 2, 1997.

Survivors: brother, Harold R. Houser, Plainville.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Edward Houser, Willie Houser and William Houser and sisters, Ethel Fisher and Alta Artz.

Private graveside service was at the Halstead, Cemetery with Rev. James Mardock presiding.
