Sessions, Omar K.

Harvey County Independent

Omar K. Sessions, 74, Burrton, died Thursday, October 16, at Columbia Halstead Hospital in Halstead. He was born September 9, 1923 at Hoffman, Oklahoma, the son of Jennings Bryan and Flossie Lela McFarlind Sessions. A Burrton resident since 1942, he was a retired machinist and tool coordinator at Cessna Fluid Power, Hutchinson. He was a member of First Christian Church, Burrton; Masonic Lodge No. 46, Halstead; the American Legion Post No. 196 and VFW Post No. 1924, both of Burton. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Pacific during World War II. On January 25, 1946, he married Vivian D. Kidder at Stillwater, Oklahoma. She survives. Other survivors: sons, Kenneth J. Sessions, Wichita and Timothy D. Sessions, Hutchinson; daughter, Cynthia Ann Krueger, Mission; sister, Bonnie W. Tennant, Hutchinson and six grandchildren. He was prececed in death by a brother, Manzie L. Sessions, who died in 1929. Graveside service was held Saturday, October 18 in Burrton Cemetery. Rev. Steve Payane presiding.
