Arthur W Bockhaus

Arthur W. Bockhaus, 70, Halstead, died Thursday, October 15, 1968 at Halstead Hospital. He was born January 30, 1928 at Halstead, the son of Walter and Marie Will Bockhaus. A lifetime Halstead resident, he was a retired owner of Bockhaus Concrete.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church; the Ruth Wilson American Legion Post 231 and former member of the Halstead Volunteer Fire Department, all of Halstead. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during World War II as a master sergeant.

He married Theresa Dumais at Chicopee, Massachusetts on April 10, 1948. She survives. Other survivors: two sons, Steve A. Bockhaus, Newton; Dale R. Bockhaus, Halstead; three daughters, Rose Mary MacDonald, Overland Park; Mary A. Wilson, Halstead and Karen S. Ferguson, Hutchinson; three sisters, Ruth Wall, Newton; Mildred Bird, Houston, Texas and Betty Pichard, Kansas City, Missouri; 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Rosary was Sunday October 18 a Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead. Funeral Mass was Monday, October 19 at the church. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
