Obituary

In Memorian

An angel came from heaven one day,
And took little Cora Longmate away,
Took their baby, a delicate flower
To live with cherubs in Eden’s bowers.

Cora lingered and wished to stay
But the angels bore her gently away,
And as they chanted their welcome lyre,
She was carried from earth to heaven above.

LONGMATE - Cora, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Lonngmate. Born Dec. 25th 1880, died Oct. 31st 1881.

God keep the parents from going astray,
And guide them safetly through life’s way,
For just within the pearly gates
Their darling baby patiently waits.
