Vesta Rose (Ansel) Hensley

Vesta R. "Tootie" Hensley, 82, Burrton, died Saturday, April 25, 1998 at her residence. She was born September 20, 1914 at Burrton, the daughter of Isaac and Grace Austin Ansel, Jr.. A lifetime resident of Burrton, she was a retired business owner.

She was a member of the Burrton United Methodist Church.
On March 12, 1935, she married Gilbert Gordon Hensley at Lyons. He died January 29, 1996. Survivors: two sons, William R. Hensley, Lenexa and James Isaac Hensley, Newport News, Virginia; two daughters, Patricia V. Hayes, Wichita; and Paula K. Hoskinson, Burrton; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister, Burnice Hill.

Services were held April 29 at Burrton United Methodist Church with the Revs. Roland Wolfe and Aaron Smith pressiding. Burial was in Burrton Cemetery.
