Fred Hinton

Fred Hinton, 91, Sedgwick, died Monday, November 16, 1998 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He was born June 30. 1907 at Sedgwick, son of Thomas and Ella Hinton. A lifetime Sedgwick resident, he was a self-employed owner and operator of the Dodge car dealership in Sedgwick for over 30 years.

He was a member of the Newton Masonic Lodge No. 142 AF&FM for 65 years; Scottish Rite Temple and Midian Shrine, both at Wichita.

He married Doris Vancuren. She died in July 1986. Survivors: son, Tom Hinton, Wichita; daughter, Debrah Hinton, Norman, Oklahoma; sister, Blanch Weber, Okeene, Oklahoma and two grandchildren.

Services were held November 19 at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel in Newton with Pastor Larry D. Morgan, Newton, presiding. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.
