Twyla (Payne) Hill Hogan

Twyla Payne Hill, 79, Medicine Lodge, formerly of Burrton, died Friday, November 20, 1998 at Cedar Crest Manor, Medicine Lodge, Kansas. She was born December 2, 1918 at Patterson, the daughter of Hay Toliferro and Alta Mable Blubaugh Payne. A resident of Medicine Lodge for the past three months, moving from Tucson, Arizona, she was a retired department Supervisor for the U. S. Department of Agriculture. She was a member of Seventh Day Advant Church and the Business and Professional Women's Association. On September 11, 1945, she married Robert Elton Hill at Wichita. He died August 14, 1976. On November 10, 1984, she married Jesse Hogan at Tucson, Arizona. He survives. Other survivors: daughters, Roberts Hook, Medicine Lodge and Cynthia Hefling, Wildwood, Missouri; brother Dr. James K. Payune, Tarpon Springs, Florida; sister, Doris Harris, Denver, Colorado; seven grandchildren and two great grand children. Graveside service was Monday, November 23 at Burrton Cemetery, Burrton, Kansas. Memorials to American Diabetes Assocition in care of Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead.
