Obituary

Hughes, Gerald L. 'Jerry', 50, Goddard, formerly of Halstead, died Thursday, September 10, 1998. He was born August 21, 1948 at Halstead, the son of Woodrow "Woody" Wilson Hughes and Madge Lillian Hartzell Hughes. He was a second lieutenant highway patrol officer with Kansas Turnpike Authority.

On December 8, 1972, he married Susan Kay Heslop in Newton. She survives. Other survivors: two daughters, Heather and Kimberly, of the home; father of Halstead; brother, Richard Hughes, Burrton; two sisters, Barbara Stout, Newton and Beverly Krueger, Halstead.

Funeral will be Monday September 14 at Westlink Christian Church, Wichita. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
