Margie (Diel) McVicar

Margie McVicar, 75, Sedgwick, died Saturday, September 5, 1998 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita. She was born May 9, 1923 at Alfalfa County, Oklahoma, the daughter of John and Mary Wohlschlegel Diel. A resident of Sedgwick since 1954, she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Sedgwick Baptist Church.

On May 12, 1951 she married Robert Rhodes McVicar at Newton. He died April 21, 1994. Survivors: two sons, Steve J. McVicar and Robert A. McVicar, both of Sedgwick; two daughters, Melody L. McVicar, Newton and Georgia L. McVicar, Rose Hill; four sisters, Clara Miller and Rose Spicer, both of Kiowa; Kay Schroeder, Madison; and Jenny Milsap, Wichita.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Diel and Bud Diel.

Services were September 11 at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead, with the Rev. Richard Simmons presiding. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.
