McMaster, Blaine Keith

Blaine K. "Mac" McMaster, 66, Halstead, died Tuesday, September 22, 1998 at his residence. He was born October 27, 1931 at Benton, Kansas, the son of Francis Marion and Vera Fay Bodle McMaster. A Halstead resident since 1973, he was a retired police chief for the City of Halstead.
He was a member of Palmyra Baptist Church, Benton; Ruth Wilson American Legion Post 231, Halstead and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 971, Newton. A veteran of the U. S. Air Force, serving during the Korean and Viet Nam conflicts, he was the recipient of the Bronze Star.
On September 25, 1970, he married Bobbie Joyce McGlothin at Emporia. She survives. Other survivors: sons, Terry McMaster, Orlando, Florida and Brian K. McMaster, Halstead; daughters, Jeannie Buckley, Kechi; Janet Runge, Edmond, Oklahoma and Judy Barnum , Fairview, Oklahoma; stepson, Ronald W. McCartney, Sulpher, Oklahoma; stepdaughters, R. Sue McCartney and Reisa L. Gamble, both of Halsteaad; Rita Ann Cantrall, Wichita and Reniece K. Sulin, Wichita; brother, Gary McMaster, Hutchinson; sisters, Lois Pierce, Sedgwick; Vera Doss, Renton, Washington and Bonnie Lyon, Underwood, Iowa; 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brotheer, Robert S. McMaster and a sister, Colleen Morgan.
Services were held September 24 at Kaufman Funeral Home with the Revs. Jack Taiclet and James Hough presiding. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
