Obituary

Stanley D. Bevan, 61, Valley Center, father to Danny Bevan of Sedgwick, died Wednesday, October 6, 1999 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus in Wichita. He was born August 25, 1938 at Lost Springs, Kansas, the son of Fred Elbert and Elsie Lois Bredemeier Bevan. Aa resident of Valley Center, he had retired from the Wichita Fire Department.

He belonged to Broadway Christian Church and was a veteran serving in the U. S. Navy.

Other survivors include his wife, Joyce, of the home; another son, Scott Bevan, San Diego, California; daughter Joni Bevan, Valley Center; his father, Peabody; his mother Elsie Coleman, Wichita; brothers, Vernon Bevan, Valley Center, Eldon Bevan, Haysville and Larry Bevan, Wichita; sisters, Lolly Owens, Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Joyce Hiebert, Park City and one grandchild.'

Funeral was Monday at Broadway Christian Church with Dr. Jon McCauley Smith presiding. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick. Memorials to Victory in the Valley.
