Obituary

Donald Keith Bixler, 75, Halstead, died Sunday, September 26, 1999 at his residence. He was born May 27, 1924 at Bloom, the son of Grover W. and Elva (Mark) Bixler. A resident of Halstead since 1982, he was a retired facilities superintendent for the University of California in Santa Barbara.

He was a life member of VFW Post 971, Newton, a life member of American Legion Post 231, Halstad and a member of Amvets Post 11 in Hutchinson.

Survivors: daughters, Stephanie L. Rogers, Denton, Texas; Lynette L. Bridges, Springfield, Missouri; stepmother, Edna Bixler, Valley Center; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Bixler and two sisters, Myrtle May and Juanita Herring.

Graveside Service is Thursday, September 30 at Halstead Cemetery, with the Rev. James Mardock presiding.
