Maebert G (Hymer) Caliendo

Maebert Gertrude Hymer Caliendo, 86, formerly of Sedgwick, died Monday, January 18, 1999 at Andover Healthcare Center in Andover. She was born November 20. 1912 at Sedgwick, the daughter of E. S. and Helen Richardson Hymer. She was born and raised in Sedgwick. She then moved to the Andover Healthcare Center later in life. While growing up, her father was the horse and buggy doctor who served as a physician to Sedgwick and the surrounding area for over 60 years. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, Sedgwick, and served as a volunteer at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, as long as her health allowed.

Survivors: three sons, Dan Caliendo, Andover; Frank Caliendo, Ocala, Florida; and Richard Caliendo, Melbourne, Florida; two grandchildren, Stephani and Scott and three great grandchildren, Amanda, Rowdy and Jake.

Funeral will be Monday evening, January 25 at Kaufman Funeral home, Halstead. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.
