Christiansan, Pearl Margaret

Harvey County Independent

Pearl Margaret Christiansan, 82, Sedgwick, died Saturday, November 27, 1999 at Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka. She was born June 7, 1917 at Wathena, the daughter of Adolphh and Dorthea (Kellwitz) Weigant. A longtime Sedgwick resident, she was employed by Leon's Market of Sedgwick for 38 years, retiring in 1995.

She belonged to Plymouth Congregational Church in Sedgwick.

On July 31, 1935, she married Elmer L. Christiansan at Wathena. He survives of the home. Other survivors include a son, Elmer Christiansan Jr., Minturn, Colorado; three daughters, LaDonna Barnes, Wichita; Peggy Randall, Eldorado and Shirley Koerner, Newton; brother, Adolph Weigant, Wichita; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great grand child

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two sisters and a great-grandson, Brady Koerner.

Services were held November 30 at Plymouth Congregational Church, Sedgwick, with Pastor Craig Reynolds presiding. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick.
