Obituary

Edgar D. Deem, 95, Halstead, died Monday, Janury 4, 1999 at Hillsboro Community Medical Center, Hillsboro, Kansas. He was born Janury 10, 1903 at Halstead, the son of Albert and Emma Brown Deem. A longtime Halstead resident before moving in 1986 to Salem Home in Hillsboro, he was a retired farmer.

On November 28, 1928 he married Rebecca Deckert at Wellington. She died April 25, 19813.

Survivors include three daughters, Aileen Miller, Hillsboro; Venice Swindler, Wichita and Marilyn Wade, Inman; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral was Thursday, January 7, at Kaufman Funeral Home, Halstead with Rev. Randy Wade presiding. Burial will be in Halstead Cemetery.
