Obituary

Gene Flickinger, 71, Wichita, the son of Ella Flickinger of Burrton, died Saturday, May 15, 1999. He was born March 5, 1928 at Moundridge, the son of Jacob and Ella Flickinger. He was a sheet metal and experimental employee for Beech Aircraft in Wichita before retiring.

Other survivors: his wife, Betty of the home; daughters, Brenda Speck, Wichita; LaRhonda Young, Salina; stepdaughters, Judith Ann Anderson, Bucklin; Karen O'Malley, Wichita; Sheri L. Sessions, Wichita; stepson, William E. McCurdy, Wichita; brothers, Jake Flickinger, Newton; Larry Flickinger and David Flickinger, both of Burrton; Ronnie Flickinger, Newton; two grandchildren; thirteen step-grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral was May 18 at New Life Christian Church, Wichita. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
