Obituary

Malvina June Herzfeld, 85, Halstead, died Wednesday, April 7, 1999 at Moundridge Manor, Moundridge. She was born June 1, 1913 at Isabelle, Oklahoma, the daughter of Abraham T. and Minnie L. Jantz Johnson. A resident of Halsted since 1944, moving to Mouondridge Manor in 1991, she was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace Mennonite Church, Halstead.

On January 24, 1958, she married George W. Herzfeld at Halstead. He survives. Other survivors: daughter, Gloria Schroeder, Halstead and Jenny Rhode, Fontana, California; brothers, Delmar Johnson, Needles, California and John Johnson, Isabelle, Oklahoma; sisters, Florence Johnson, Galva, Fern Smith, Burns and Joyce Davis, Isabelle, Oklahoma; five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, an infant sister, Zelma Ruth, and three brothers, Virgil, Leonard and Tobe.

Funeral was Saturday, April 10 at Grace Mennonite Church, Halstead, with ministers Kenneth Smith, Dean Becker, Raleigh Koehn and Stanley Wiggers presiding. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
