Obituary

Fay E. Janes, 95, Halstead, died Tuesday, March 2, 1999 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. He was born January 29, 1904 at Goltry, Oklahoma, the son of Albert and Lizzie Kroker Janes. An area resident since the early 1940's, he was a farmer.

On July 11, 1928 he married Elizabeth Nightingale at Halstead. She died June 20, 1992.

Survivors: two brothers, Leonard Janes, Halstead and Lester Janes, Goltry, Oklahoma; three sisters, Marie Buller, Newwton; Helen Pekrul, Fredonia; and Lorene Unruh, Independence.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Janes and a sister, Mabel Montgomery.

Funeral was Saturday, March 6 at Kaufman Funeral home, Halstead with the Rev. Rick Dages presiding. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
