Obituary

Elynr Noland, 73, Sedgwick, died Saturday, August 7, 1999 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was born December 18, 1925 at Bazine, Kansas, the daughter of Emil and Mabel F. Higgins Mauth. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Atlas Spring and Axle, Wichita, retiring in 1995 after 20 years of service.

She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary, Sedgwick, and was a former member of First Methodist Church, Bazine.

On June 6, 1948, she married Melvin Noland at Bazine. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, James Noland and Tom Noland, both of Wichita; two daughters, Kathy Cowan, Sedgwick and Marsha Carlton, Seoul, South Korea; five sisters, Alberta Burke, California City, California; Doris Ringstad, Los Angeles, California; Charlene Wittman, Riverview, Florida; Joanne Grose, Winchester, Virginia; Sherell Stum, Townser, Colorado and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Merl Mauth, and t wo sisters, Mildred Baer and Jeanne Gordon.

Funeral was Wednesday, August 1 1 at Sedgwick United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Donald Wharton presiding. Burial was in Hillside CVemetery.
