Obituary

David Byron Short, 70, Sedgwick, died Thursday, September 9, 1999 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born June 12, 1929 at Dexter, Kansas, the son of Byron and Katherine Jarboe Short. He was a retired general contractor.

Survivors: two sons, Matthew Short and Samuel Short, both of Wichita; two daughters, Melessa Follin, Wichita and Claudia Reynolds, address unknown; brother, Donald Short, Andover; two sisters, Virginia Treadwell, Derby and Veda McDahiel, Arkansas City; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Short who died February 2, 1994; a son, John David Short who died in 1980 and a brother, Buzz Short who died in 1989.

Graveside service was Tuesday, September 14 at Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick.
