Steinle, Carol E.

Harvey County Independent

Carole E. Steinle, 95, North Newton, formerly of Sedgwick, died Saturday, July 3, 1999 at Kidron Bethel Village, Newton, Kansas. She was born October 9, 1903 at Sedgwick, the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Utz Fry. Prior to her marriage she worked for Bell Telephone Comany in Sedgwick and Newton. She also had attended Wichita Business College.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church; the Social Order of the Beauceant and the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Whitesell-Finnel Post 971, Newton.

On August 6, 1927 she married Alex E. Steile at Sedgwick. He died March 19, 1964. Survivors: brother, Dale Fry, Garden City; daughter-in-law and caregiver, Evelyn Steinle, Newton; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents. son, Darrell D. Steinle; seven sisters and three brothers.

Graveside service was Wednesday, July 7 at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, Amanda Rempel, Chaplain of Kidron Bethel Village, presiding along with the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Whitesell-Finnell Post 971.
