Obituary

Alma Ruth Dyck, 79, passed away on Friday (Dec. 9, 2011) at Kidron Bethel in North Newton.

She was born on Nov. 2, 1932, in Goessel, the daughter of the Rev. Abraham J. and Margaret Schmidt Dyck. She had worked as a housekeeper and was affiliated with Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church and Bethel College Mennonite Church.

Survivors include one sister, Rosella Toevs of North Newton. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Hulda Enns, Lena Martens and Bertha Toevs; and one brother, Abe Dyck.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church Cemetery in rural Inman, with Pastor Cleo Koop officiating. A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. Thursday at Kidron Bethel Menno Hall in North Newton, with Chaplain Debbie Schmidt presiding. There will be no visitation.
