Ella A (Stahl) Janzen

Ella A. Janzen, 88, died on Monday (Dec. 5, 2011) at Pine Village in Moundridge.

She was born on Aug. 1, 1923, in Newton to William and Mary (Scheffler) Stahl. She was a homemaker and sales associate, retiring from Alco in Newton. She married Allen Janzen on Sept. 9, 1945, in Newton.

Survivors include a daughter, Delores (Larry) Morgan of Hesston; daughter-in-law, Laura Janzen of Moundridge; brother, Carl Stahl of Newton; sisters, Clara Ortman and Alice Schmidt, both of Moundridge; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen; son, Wayne; infant daughter, Sylvia; brothers, August, Harry and Elmer Stahl.

Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 8 at the Moundridge Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9 at Moundridge United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery in Newton. Memorials are suggested to Pine Village or the Moundridge United Methodist Church, both in care of the funeral home.
