Obituary

Revae I. Vansickle, 85, Burrton, died Wednesday, May 12, 1999 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was born June 21, 1913 at rural Burrton, the daughter of Charley and Allie Davis Rudicel. A lifetime resident of Burrton, she was a licensed practical nurse and homemakere. She was employed by the former St. Elizabeth Hospital, the former Grace Hospital and worked for Drs. Mayland and Miller, podiatrists. She was a private specialty family nurse and worked for Halstead Hospital and Huchinson Hospital. She was a long time Hospice volunteer finally retiring in 1987.

She was a member of Buhler Mennonite Church, Buhler where she taught Sunday school; a past president of Burrton Senior Citizens; member of Friendship Circle in Burrton; and a member of the former Lillydale EHU of Buhler.

On December 24, 1933, she married Cecil Vansickle at Burrton. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Gerald Lee, Bulverde, Texas; daughter, Laquita "Lucki" Boyd of Burrton; four brothers, Kenneth Rudicel, Hutchinson; Don Rudicel, Maryville, Missouri; Charles :Rudy" Rudicel, Jr., Burrton and Keith Rudicel, ElDorado; five grandchildren; five great grand children.

She was preceded in death a brother, William Rudicel; grandson, Sheldon Metz and son-in-law, Bill Boyd.

Funeral was Monday, May 17 at the Church with Pastor Bob Dalke presiding. Burial was in Burrton Cemetery.
