Obituary

Charles Zurbuchen, 88, Kansas City Kansas, brother of Frank Zurbuchen of Halstead, died Saturday, October 2, 1999 at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City. He was born March 13, 1911 at Augusta, the son of Ernest and Suzette Ann Mueller Zurbuchen. A Kansas City area resident for the past 47 years, he worked at General Motors, Fairfax Plant for 25 years.

Survifors: his wife, Rita of the home; son, Raymond G. Zurbuchen, Chula Vista, California; three stepchildren, Connie Taylor Greenhalgh, Shawnee; Wayne W. Taylor, Kansas City, Missouri and Thomas H. Taylor, Olathe; 12 grand- children and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam Zurbuchen and Edward Zurbuchen; four sisters, Katie Hearting; Lena Boucher, Minnie Weddle and Elizabeth Hunsinger.

Funeral was Tuesday October 5 at the Butler-Fulton-Nickel Funeral Home Chapel, Kansas. Graveside service was Wednesday, October 6 at Halstead Cemetery.
