Obituary

Larry Jake Spragg, 62, Burrton, died July 25, 1993 at Overland Park Regional Hospital, Overland Park, Kansas. He was born April 10, 1931 at Valentine, Nebraska, the son of Lester R. and Ruth E. Clark Spragg, Sr. A Burrton area resident since 1968, he was a truck driver.

He was a member of the Teamsters Union; the American Quarter Horse Association and the American Legion. He was instrumental in starting and was a charter member of the Harvey County Humane Society and was a past member of the Newton Saddle Club. He was a U.S. Air Vorce veteran of the Korean Conflict.

On April 10, 1982 he married Beverly Sattler Glenn at Newton. She survives. Other survivors, daughter Vickie L. Bayless. rura; Burrton; sister, sister Hildred S. Munson, Gunterville, Alabama; three stepdaughters, Janet Klingenbert, Wichita; Donella Lara, Derby and Raeanne Briar, Newton; seven grandchildren.

Services were held July 29 at Petersen Funeral Home, Newton.
