Obituary

Kathy L. Warford, 52, died Monday, May 23, 2011 in a car accident on the corner of Highwas 50 and Hesston Road. She was born August 2, 1958 in Wichita to Chester Frock and Norma King.

On March 2, 1998 she married Brian Warford in Las Vegas, Nevada, he survives of the home. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Newton. She was a member of the Zion Preschool Board and the Altar Guild. She was a receptionist for the Wichita Bethel Clinic for 9 years.

She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed league bowling, volleyball and shooting basketball hoops and backyard football with her family. She also refereed volleyball for the recreation commission and high school.

Kathy was an accomplished photographer and enjoyed selling and sharing her photographs. She was a people person and enjoyed making and sending cards to her family, friends and patients she helped care for. Kathy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to spend time and care for her loving family and many friends.

She is survived by her husband, Brian Warford of Halstead; mother, Norma King of Halstead; father, Chester Frock of Jane, Missouri; son Joshua Homewood, Halstead, daughters, Brianna Kraus, Halstead; Miranda Homewood, Halstead and Amanda Hahn, Halstead; brother, Steve Frock, Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters, Dixie Keene, Halstead and Terri Watkins, Cle Ellum, Washington and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Friday at Zion Lutheran Church in Newton with Rev. Aaron Filpek presiding. Private family graveside service will be at the Halstead City Cemetery.
