Richard William McGinn

Richard W. McGinn, 83, retired Sedgwick Elementary School custodian, died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Galicia Heart Hospital in Wichita. He was born May 9, 1927 in Newton to John Maurice and Evelyn E. Schuetz McGinn.

A lifelong resident of Sedgwick, he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead.

Surviovors: sons; Mark (Carolyn) McGinn, Sedgwick; Garth (Terri) McGinn, Bel Aire; daughter, Leigh Charles, Sedgwick; brothers; Jerry (Mary)McGinn, Sedgwick; Duane (Charlotte), Halstead; sister, Janice (Gene) McVicar, Sedgwick; three grandchildren, one step-grandchild; two great grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth McGinn and a grandson, Dustin Fry.

Rosary was Tueday at the Church. Mass of the Christian Burial was Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstead with Father Steve Baxter officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Sedgwick.
