Obituary

Edwin A. Unruh, 78, retired farmer and carpenter, died Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation. He was born January 28, 1933 at Halstead to J. C. and Caroline Seiler Unruh.

On February 15, 1953, he married Doris I. "Jackie" Becker at Lone Tree Mennonite Church in Moundridge. She survives.

Other survivors: daughters, Rita (Alan) Beach, Haysville; Trula (Daniel) Unruh, Gentry, Arkansas; Dr. Lisa Unruh, Goodland; brothers; Glenn Unruh, Grand Junction, Colorado; Richard (LaDean) Unruh, Sharon Springs; Donald Unruh, Newton; David (Nola) Unruh, Gentry, Arkansas; sisters; Lorene Hiebert, Carpenter, South Dakota; Dorothy (Russell) Unruh, Olathe, Colorado; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin Unruh.

Graveside service was Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Halstead Cemetery with ministers Kenneth Smith and Dean Becker officiating.
