Obituary

Tatum Kennedy High, 1, passed away Saturday, August 20. 2011 surrounded by her loving family at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was born January 7, 2010 at Newton the daughter of Jason High and Racquel Schmidt Thiesen-High.

She was an active little girl who brought joy and fun to all she encountered in her life. She will be remembered for her love of posing for her picture, playing in the water, and reading story books. Tatum was an unofficial ambassador for the Newton community, attending ribbon cutting ceremonies and many city commission meetings with her mother and father. Tatum had learned several words she enjoyed including "Meow" "doggie" "momma" "da eee", among others. She will remembered for her love of dancing and being an energetic happy little girl.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to their Newton community, staffs and friends during this difficult time.

Tatum is survived by her parents, Jason and Racquel of the home; sisters, Georgia and Gentry Thiesen, both of the home; maternal grandparents, Myron Schmidt, Newton and Dianna Miller, Newton.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Sam and Sherre High.

A celebration of Tatum's life will be Thursday, August 25 at Grace Community Church. A private family furial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
