Obituary

Maravin R. DuBois, 90, Newton, formerly of rural Halstead, father of Robert DuBois, Halstead, died Wednesday, August 9, 2000 at Kansas Christian Home, Newton. He was a retired farmer/dairyman.

He was born April 2, 1910 at rural Walton, the son of Linton G. and Mary Evaline Glenn DuBois.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church; board member Farmer's Coop for over 20 years; charter board member of Harvey County Milk Haulers and former Rural District #15 school board member, all of Halstead.

He married Annie Laurie McConnell on June 9, 1935. She preceded him in death February 22, 1997. Other survivors: daughter, Patricia Ann Drumright, Richmond, Virginia; brother, Allen DuBois, Whitewater; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Ellen DuBois and brothers, Orville DuBois and Gail DuBois.

Services were Friday, August 11, 2000 at First United Methodist Church, Halstead with Rev. James Mardock presiding. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
