Obituary

Mary Margaret O'Dell, 88, homemaker, died Friday, December 23, 2011 at Life Care Center of Andover, Kansas. She was born December 1, 1923 at Kosmadale, Kentucky to Charles Edwin and Mary Catherine Lancaster Talbott. A resident of Wichita since 1999, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Halstad. They lived in Sedgwick for many years. On July 3, 1944, she married Hugh Dale O'Dell at Wichita. He survives. Other survivors: sons; Larry (Cindy) O'Dell, West Richland, Washington; Greg (Janet) O'Dell, Deer Park, Texas; daughters; Vickie (Frank) Steffey, Salt Lake City, Utah; Kelly (Jorge) Cortes, Parkville, Missouri; brother, Edwin "Josh" (Vivian) Talbott, Halstead; sister, Mary Edna Stubby, Hutchinson; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.' She was preceded in deth by a sister, Dorothy Mae Roth. Rosary will be Thursday, December 29 at the church. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Friday, December 30 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Stephen Baxter officiating. Inurnment will follow at Halstead Cemetery.
