Obituary

R. Keith Eshelman, 79, Valley Center, died August 5, 2000 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. He was born August 28, 1920 at Sedgwick, the son of Harry Good and Alice Bradley Eshelman.

He was a member of Sedgwick United Methodist Church, the Sedgwick Lions Club, the American Legion, Sedgwick and was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army Air Corps. He was a graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in accounting.

He moved from Burrton to Sedgwick in 1936 and lived in the Sedgwick area until August 1998 when he moved to Valley Center.

He married Violet L. Base on March 28, 1942 at Bentley. She died November 15, 1999. Survivors: son, Kenneth K. Eshelman, Driftwood, Texas; three brothers, Harry Eshelman, Hutchinson; Kermit Eshelman, Salisbury, North Carolina; and Orville Eshelman, Newton; two grandchildren; one great grand child.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ruby Lee Eshelman.

Services wer held August 8 at the United Methodist Church with the Rev Don Wharton presiding. Memorials to American Cancer Society.
