Obituary

Karen Kay Runco, 52, sister of Harry Hiebert, Sedgwick, died Wednesday November 15, 2000. She was born December 8, 1947, the daughter of Wilhard H. "Bill" and Edna Hiebert in Goessel. On August 4, 1973, she married Vincent S. Runco in Walton. He survives.

She was a middle school teacher. She lived in Walton and Ulysses before moving to Newton in 1989. In 1987 she received a master of science in education from Emporia State. She was a member of Walton United Methodist Church and the National Education Association.

Other survivors: her mother, Edna Hiebert; son, Chad Runco, Manhattan; daughter, Cherish Edwards, Newton; one other brother, Marlin Hiebert, Newton and a sister, Judy Tatum, Wichita. She was preceded in death by her father, a son, Corbet and brotheer, Roger Hiebert.

Services were November 18 at Walton Methodist Church. Burial was in Walton cemetery.
