Obituary

Koradine Snyder, 91, former Halstead resident died Friday, March 17, 2000 at Wilson Nursing Home, Wilson, Kansas. She was born Februry 17, 1909 at Thayer, Kansas, daughter of John Everet and Carrie Grace Little Christie. She was a seamstress for Halstead Hospital.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Mary Circle and Lakin Happy Homemakers, all of Halstead.

She married Benjamiin R. Snyder April 4, 1937 at Thayer. He died September 7, 1995. They were Halstead residents from 1949 to 1995. She had lived in the Ellsworth Wilson area for the past few years.

Survivors: son, John H. Snyder, Jacksonville, Florida; daughter, Ruth Ann Witkovski, Bellevue, Nebraska; daughter-in-law who was her primary caregiver, Rita Allmon, Sylvan Grove, Kansas; a brother, Everet Christie, Granbufg, Texas; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 16 step great grandchidren. She was preceded in death by two sons, James Snyder and David Snyder and a grandson, David Dale Witkowski.

A memorial service ws held Tuesday, Mardh 21 at Kaufman Funeral Home. Burial was in the Halstead Cemetery.
