Obituary

Steven J. Dent, 53, Wichita, brother of Kenny Dent, Halstead, died Tuesday, July 31, 2001 from injuries sustained in an accident on Saturday, July 28, 2001 in Wichita. He was born December 8, 1947 at Newton, the son of Eugene and Nola Koehn Dent.

He attended the Timbers Chapel, Wichita. He was an avid reader and writer, composing several journals on personal triumphs and trials. He especially loved reading history books. Steven greatly enjoyed the time he spent with his family and he had special bonds with his nieces and nephews. He would relax by fishing and going to Bingo.

Other survivors include; his mother, Nola Dent, Newton; two other brothers, Dean Dent, McPherson and Rodger Dent, Tacoma, Washington; four sisters, Melanie Hanna; Aimee Metzler; JoAnn Reagan and Julie Seybert, all of Newton.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services were August 3 at Peterson Funeral Home, Newton with Rev. David Keazarian presiding. Burial was in Walton Cemetery.
