Obituary

Noah Koehn, 81, Halstead, died Sunday, July 29,2001 at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge. He was born August 12, 1919 at Halstead, son of Jacob T. and Nettie Unruh Koehn.

On October 26, 1940 he married Lorene B. Schmidt at Halstead. She survives of the home. He was a retired farmer and dairyman. He was a member of Grace Mennonite Church, Halstead.

Other survivors: four sons, Raleigh Koehn; Loren Koehn and Vincent Koehn, all of Halstead; Norbert Koehn, Winfield; two daughters, Marilyn Barkman, Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada and Barbara Decker, DeRidder, Louisiana; three brothers; Menno Koehn, Moundridge; Allen Koehn; Harley Koehn, both of Halstad; three sisters, Ada Nightingale; Chickasha, Oklahoma; Eilene Dyck, DeRidder, Louisiana and Vera Schmidt, Dumas, Arkansas; 18 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lucas Koehn and Otis Koehn; son, Neil Koehn and daughter, Neila Koehn.

Services were held August 2 at the Grace Mennonite Church. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
