Obituary

Luis Rangel Puente, Halstead resident since 1973, died Monday, June 4, 2001 at his home. He was born August 10, 1929 at San Antonio, Texas, son of Julio and Maria Rangel Puente. He was a retired spray painter for Excel Industries in Hesston and Legg Company in Halstead.

He is survived by two sons, Roger Puente, San Antonio, Texas and Martin Puente, Kansas City, Missouri; three daughters, Yolanda Sanchez, San Antonio, Texas; Jeanna Ratcliffe and Angelina Lintecum, both of Halstead; two sisters, Hortencia Puente and Gloria Hernandez, both of San Antonio, Texas; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by one son, Julio Puente and one sister, Tina Medillin.

Services were June 8 t Zion Lutheran Church in Newton. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
