Stufflebean, Tommie

Harvey County Independent

Tommie D. Stufflebean, 53, Halstead, died Friday, December 14, 2001 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born May 22, 1948 in Woodward, Oklahoma, son of Ralph Curtis and Beretha Lee Loomis Stufflebean. He was owner and manager of Stufflebean Liquor and Smoke Shop and Goldridge Accounting, both of Halstead.

In 1975 he married Connie L. Williams of Halstead. He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War; Memberships included the Sacred Hearat Catholic Church, American Legion, both of Halstea and the Safari Club International.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was always ready to share a hunting experience with family and close friends. One of his greatest joys was hunting in Africa.

Survivors include his wife, Connie, of the home; his mother, Bertha Lee Lockhart, Woodward, Oklahoma; five brothers, Wayne, Greg, both of Woodward, Oklahoma; Phil, Burrton; Joe, Wyandotte, Oklahoma and Dan, Edmond, Oklahoma; four sisters, Alice Manning, Otis Orchids, Washington; Joyce Higgins, Fairland, Oklahoma; Rita Thompson, Miami, Oklahoma and Carol Reser, Newton. He was preceded in death by his father.

Rosary was December 18 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Services were December 19 at Sacred Heart Catholiic Church with burial in the Halstad Cemetery.
