Obituary

John D. "Butch" Armfield, 58, Sedgwick, died Wednesday, March 20. 2002 at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph Campus, Wichita. He was born July 30. 1943 at Halstead, son of William Churchill and Opal E. Gilchrist Armfield. He was a longtime resident of the Sedgwick and Halstead area. He was an entrepreneur with retail sales.

On March 26, 1994, he married Robin L. Greason at Wichita. She survives of the home.

He was a member of Plymouth Cpongregational Church, Sedgwick Masonid Lodge No. 142 and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #5, both of Newton.

Other survivers: son, John D. Clutts, Burrton; four daughters, Carnell Roths, Benton; Joell Seaman, Haysville; Vanessa McClure, Wichita; Darol Ann Rich of the home; his mother, Opal Armfield, Sedgwick; brother, William Armfield, Sedgwick; a sister, Beverly Branson, Lazy Spring, Alabama and 13 grandchildren.

Services were held March 23 at the Church in Sedgwick. Cremation will follow the funeral and a family inurnment will take place at Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick, at a later date.
