Obituary

Donald Rupp, 75, rural Halstead, died September 2, 2007 at his home. He was born April 6, 1932 at Halstead, the son of Theodore E. and Lucille V. Taylor Lehmann Rupp. Both are deceased.

He was a lifelong Halstead area resident. He was a farmer. He also worked at Legg Co., was part time custodian at the Halstead Post Ofice and in Maintenance at the Halstead Hospital.

He was a 1950 graduate of Halstead High School and was an avid KU basketgball fan and was the nephew of the late Adolph Rupp, winning basketball coach at the University of Kentucky.

Survivors: nephew, Doug Niles and wife, Rae, Sedgwick, niece, Teresea Niles McGinn and husband, Garth, Bel Aire; great nephew, Andy Niles and great niece Abby Niles, Sedgwick and sister-in-law, Helen Lehmann, Wichita. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Niles.

Graveside service was September 7 at Garden Community Church Cemetery, 6520 N. Halstead Road.
