Obituary

Jeanne Loewen Seitz was born August 2, 1925 in Topeka, Kansas, daughter of Herman C. and Elizabeth Loewen of Peabody. As an employee of Santa Fe Railroad, God brought to her Leroy Seitz. The two were united in marriage on January 7, 1955. She was received into the Kingdom of God through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism and was received into communicant membership at Zion Lutheran Church in Newton on January 3, 1956.

She was employed with the Santa Fe Railroad for 30 years. She enjoyed traveling with her husbnd and spending time with family and friends. Her pride and joy were her son, Brand, daughter-in-law, Cindy and her two grandchildren, Kyle and Katie, all of Overland Park. She frequently traveled to Overland Park to attend her grandchildren's many sporting events and dance recitals. She enjoyed a cruise with her entire family in October 2002. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Newton, Kansas.

Jeanne died at Newton Medical Center on Tuesday, June 10, 2003. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
