Obituary

Mildred J. Koehn, 86, Newton, formerly of Halstead, died Sunday, October 13, 2002 at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation, Halstead. She was born March 25, 1916 at Chickasha, Oklahoma, the daughter of Benjamin J. and Amelia Schmidt Jantz.

She was the former owner/operator of Millie's Cafe in Halstead. She moved to Newton in 1975.

She was a membeer of First Mennonite Church, Newton and Small Business Women's Association.

Survivors; two sons, Herbert D. Koehn, Newton and Earl L. Koehn, Thornton, Colorado; two brothers, Lincoln Jantz and Ervin Jantz, both of Chickasha, Oklahoma; seven sisters, Leona Jantz, Mt. Lehman, British Columbia, Canada; Iva Becker, Halstead; Annie Ratzlaff, Canton; Malinda Schmidt, Montezuma; Rubie Koehn, Galva; Pauline Decker, Sedgwick and Elizabeth Crawford, Norman, Oklahoma and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Harry Jantz.

Services will be October 17 at Grace Church of God in Christ Mennonite Church, Halstad. Burial will be in Halstead Cemetery.
