Plumer, Clyde L.

Clyde L. Plumer, 81, lifelong Sedgwick resident, died Friday, March 8, 2002. He was born March 1, 1921 at Sedgwick, son of Alvin and Mabel McIntire Plumer.
He was the owner of Kansas Drywall Supply of Wichita, Hutchinson and Salina. He was a 1939 graduate of Sedgwick High School. He attended Kansas State University in Manhattan and Wichita State University in Wichita.
He served as a captain with the Seventh Cavalry in Japan and the Phillipines during WW II. He received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star.
He enjoyed fly fishing and vacationing at his catin in Colorado.
On January 1, 1942, he married Marjorie Paff at Yates Center. She survives of the home. Other survivors: son, Gary Plumer and wife, Mickey, Valley Center; brother, Keith Plumer, Sedgwick; sister, Donna Rampy; 2 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughteer, Karen Plumer.
Services were held March 12, 2002 at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorials to American Cancer Society. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Sedgwick,
