Obituary

Morris A. Seger, 76, Newton, brother of Adelia Prescott Walker of Halstead, died March 16. 2002 at Newton Medical Center.

He was born May 17, 1925 at Newton, son of Henry and Lydia Siggers Seger. He was a master plumber for 47 years at Newton and was a former owner of Newton Sanitary Plumbing Company. For the past eight years, he worked maintenance at Newton Plaza Apartments.

On September 14, 1949, he married Roberta "Bobby" Seger at Newton. She died April 29, 1998..

Mr. Seger belonged to the Salem United Methodist Church. He served on the board for the Newton Area Senior Center and was a member of the Newton Masonic Lodge No. 142 and Newton Order of the Eagles Lodge Arie 2516 for which he served as past president and secretary-treasurer.

Other survivors: three sons, Eddy Seger, Clayton, Delaware; Jim Seger and Steve Seger, both of Newton; brother, Lawrence Seger, Newton; a companion, Rosa Lee Greer, Newton; 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Memorial service was March 20 at Salem United Methodist Church in Newton. Masonic graveside services followed at Restlawn Gardens of Memories, rural Newton.
