Obituary

Vincent E. Stanley, 59, Sedgwick, died December 31, 2002 at Newton Medical Center. He was born February 8, 1943 in rural Edwards county, the son of Owen Vincent and Mary Jane Kennedy Stanley.

On March 4,1985, he married Delores A. Castle at Wichita. She survives of the home.

He was an active member of the Mason's and was a member of the Scottish Rite, York Rite and Shriner. He served in the Armed Forces for the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid faramer and gardner.

Other survivors: his mother, Mary Jane Stanley, rural Sedgwick; two sons, Harold Stanley and Ray Stanley, both of rural Sedgwick, daughter, Shirley Smith; three brothers, Alvin Stanley, Mississippi; Larry Stanley, Richland Washington and Terry Stanley, Wichita; one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Owen Vincent Stanley.

Services were January 6, 2003 at Peterson Funeral Home, Newton with Rev. Kim Beckwith of the Christian Church, Sedgwick presiding.
