Maurene L Geist

Maurene L. Geist, 85, a longtime Halstead resident, died Saturday, Aril 12, 2003 at Schowalter Villa in Hesston. She was born February 23, 1918 at Raymond, Kansas, the daughter of Andrew M. and Loma Artz Geist. She was a self employed housekeeper. She had moved to Schowalter Villa in 1999.

Survivors: cousin, Zada England, Newton; her caregiver, Karen Siebeert, Halstead, a niece and several nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Jacob Krehbiel; two brothers, Donald Geist and Frank Geist and a sister, Leta Baines.

Graveside service was held April 17 at the Halstead Cemetery conducted by Rev. Beverly Baumgartner.
