Hogsett, Chester W.

Chester W. Hogsett, 67, Hesston, member of Halstead Baptist Church for more than 30 years, died Friday, July 4, 2003 at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge.
He was born March 7, 1936 in Scott County, the son of Don Henry and Emma Gladys Gillett Hogsett. He grew up in Ness City and atended college in Springfield, Missouri. He was a welder for Excel Industries and a security guard for Hesston Corporation, both of Hesston.
On August 5, 19670, he married B. Yvonne Grimes at Denton, Texas. She survives of the home.
Other survivors: son, Gaylen W. Hogsett and wife, Mary, Newton; three daughters, Lori A. Espada and husband Davd, Hillsboro; Loretta J. Dean, Newton and Gayla F. Wells and husband, Dan, Springfield, Missouri; two brothers, Loren Hogsett, New York and Leonard Hogsett, Ness City; five sisters, Stella McKelvie, Buena Vista, Colorado; Bessie Crego, Denver, Colorado; Ada Hagan, of Florida; Beulah McFadden, Salida, Colorado and Donna Ziebolz, Colorado Srings, Colorado; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchidren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Hogsett and sister, Martha Welsh.
Services were held July 8 at Halstead Baptist Church. Burial was in Halstead Cemetery.
