Obituary

Steven F. Nelson, Sr., 54, Sedgwick, died May 12, 2003 at his home at Sedgwick. He was born March 12, 1949, at Kansas City, Missouri, son of Vernon Rex and Verna Ruth Marten Nelson. They preceded him in death.

He was director of drug chemical dependence and was a member of Veteran of Foreign Wars, Newton, Trap Shooters Association and Amaateur Trap Shooting Association.

On September 7, 1983 he married Rebecca Boltin at Wichita. She survives. Other survivors: two sons, Jimmie Nelson and Steven Nelson, Jr., both of Sedgwick; daughter, Crystal Martin, Liberal; 3 grandchildren.

Services were held May 15 at Sedgwick Methodist Church with Pastor Eldon Cox presiding. Burial was in Hillside cemetery, Sedgwick.
